ENTERING THE 2019 EMEA EMMAs AWARDS

Entries will open 13 June 2019.

1. The awards are open to any company, agency or individual, from the HR Expat Management sector. All entries will be judged against the criteria indicated for each category.

2. For many categories, we also invite suppliers of products and services to the HR Expat Management sector to enter on behalf of an HR client. Such suppliers submitting an entry can only do so if they agree that: Their entry can only relate to one client; They must have prior written permission from the client to submit the entry on its behalf; They will provide contact details of the individual at their client with whom FEM should liaise; While we will recognise the supplier’s contribution in our coverage of the shortlists, it is the client who will be named as winner.

3. Entries must fulfil the definitions of the category in which they are entering (see categories for details). Entrants should provide clear responses under headings

4  Entry statement should be no more than 1500 words The entry should show examples of the following criteria:

• Innovation

• Strategy

• Results

• Impact of the work

5. All work should be entered using our online entry system. Video files should not be uploaded but hosted and links provided.

6. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure they have (written) permission from any owner of the supporting material they are wishing to upload. This includes: Literary works such as articles, stories, journals, or computer programs; Pictures and graphics; Blueprints of architecture; Plays and screenplays; Audio-visual recordings such as movies; Sound recordings; PowerPoint presentations.

7. Entries will be judged by a distinguished panel of independent experts drawn from the HR industry selected by FEM. Decisions of the judges are not influenced by FEM and will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.

8. If an entry is deemed more appropriate for another category, FEM will endeavor to contact the entrant, but reserve the right to move this without notifying the entrant in advance.

9. The closing date for entries is midnight on 9 October 2019.

10. Entries arriving after the closing date will be disqualified. Any entries received incomplete, illegible or not complying with the rules will be disqualified subject to the discretion of the Chair of the judging panel.

11. If you have not received confirmation that your entry has been received please contact Helena Barrow on +44 (0) 20 3994 6420. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost during the online submission, FEM recommend that you keep a copy of the submission as a word document and then paste the appropriate information into the text fields.

12. You will be informed via email if your entry has been shortlisted.

13. The announcement of the winners will be made at the FEM EMEA EMMA's Awards, taking place at the London InterContinental O2 on Thursday 21st November 2019. Each winner will receive an engraved trophy. No cash alternative will be provided.

TABLE BOOKINGS

Confirmation All bookings will be confirmed within 4 working days. If you do not receive confirmation of your booking from FEM EMMAs please contact Helena Barrow on +44 (0) 20 3994 6420. Payment Bookings may be paid by credit card at the time of booking; otherwise, we will invoice you. Invoice payments must be received by DVV Media International Ltd. within 28 days of the invoice date or by close of business 5 working days before the Event, whichever is the earlier. Tickets for the event will not be issued until payment has been received in cleared funds. Payment must be received in full prior to the event. Please note we do not accept American Express payments. Special dietary requirements Please submit dietary requirements via the online guestlist, this can be done at the time of purchase or by logging back into your account before the guestlist deadline.

Dietary requirements must be received within 72 hours prior to the event, otherwise, charges will apply and it may not be possible to take care of the specific requirements of any guest.

Lighting and special effects It is the table booker’s responsibility to inform guest(s) that special effects, including strobe lighting, may be used on the night.

Photography

Photographs and video will be taken at this event. By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for visual presentation or social media or marketing purposes relating to the event or future events organised by DVV Media International Ltd. By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use of these materials.

Under 18’s policy InterContinental London- The O2, takes the safety and protection of children very seriously. The hotel’s policy is that no persons under the age of 18 may attend the function or enter the function room at any stage during the event. This policy, set by management, upholds the licensing objective “The Protection of Children from Harm” Alterations It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to alter the venue or the date of the event. We will give you as much notice as we can and your booking will be transferred to the new venue or date.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in writing to the registration contact at the address below. If you cancel on or before 20 October 2019 we will refund your booking fee less an administrative charge of 15%. If you cancel after 20 October 2019 no refund will be given. If the event is cancelled all paid booking fees will be refunded. We do not, however, accept liability for travelling, accommodation or any other expenses incurred as a result of any cancellation or postponement of the event. Our liability for loss or damage incurred as the result of cancellation or postponement of the event is limited to the amount of your booking fee. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
