Katie McDermott, Managing Director, Ireland for Erickson Immigration Group, is a dual-qualified lawyer and corporate immigration specialist who advises multinational corporations and SMEs on employing non-EEA nationals in Ireland. Prior to joining Erickson Immigration Group, Katie practiced as a solicitor in one of Ireland’s leading corporate law firms, where she established herself as trusted local counsel for multiple global mobility companies.

As the Managing Director of Ireland for EIG, Katie leads a team that supports worldwide immigration strategies locally. Her diverse practice ranges from assisting employees with work permission to preparing compliance programs and training for key staff. Katie’s vast business immigration experience spans multiple sectors in the Irish market, including Technology, Health, Pharmaceutical, and Finance.

A regular author of legal articles, with recent pieces published by LexisNexis and HR Headquarters, Katie also features as a speaker on global mobility at international events. Domestically, she contributes to reports from the Economic and Social Research Institute of Ireland. Katie currently serves as a Fellow of the Centre for International Legal Studies and a Vice-Chair within ParadiGM, where she supports new entrants to the industry.
