Starting my career as a Global Mobility Analyst focused on the EMEA region, I earned a reputation as a “problem solver” dedicated to ensuring operational excellence in Global Mobility Programs. I served as a Global Mobility Specialist and Lead Consultant before transitioning to work as an independent consultant through my own limited company, offering a broad range of expertise and project delivery. My specialism includes Centralisation, Change Management, Compensation Analysis, Global Mobility Functions, HR Transformation, Stakeholder Engagement, and Talent Management. In recognition of my innovative contributions, I was honoured with an Impact Award for Innovation from Senior Leadership in October 2023. My dedication to excellence earned me the Recognition Award for Operational Excellence at BP and positioned me as a runner-up for the FEM EMEA EMMA of the Year in 2014. This recognition has led to invitations to share my insights as an industry expert at various events including podcasts. In 2019, I was elected to the Next Gen GM Steering Committee and appointed as a Global Mobility Ambassador and Contributor to Global Mobility Journeys. Additionally, I am a speaker, and judge at the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023.

I am honored to be considered for the "Global Mobility Professional of the Year" award. Over the past decade, I have dedicated myself to the global mobility industry, contributing in various capacities that have helped shape and strengthen our professional community. While I have never actively applied for such awards, my commitment to the industry is evident through my long-standing involvement: Industry Experience: With 10 years of experience in the field, I have consistently worked to improve and innovate within the global mobility sector, ensuring high standards of service and ethical practices Volunteering and Leadership: I have had the privilege of serving on the Board of SARA (Swiss Association of Relocation Agents) and as a Special Advisor to the Board of ABRA (Association of Belgian Relocation Agents). In these roles, I have contributed to policy development, advocacy, and the promotion of best practices in relocation services. Community Building: Understanding the importance of communication and collaboration, I created a WhatsApp group for close EURA Members. This group, which includes RMCs, agencies, and the serviced apartment industry, has become a vital platform for sharing news, updates, and insights, fostering a sense of community and mutual support. Christopher Henry, HR Group Affairs, Principal Expert - Talent Mobility, stc (Saudi Telecom Company)

Chris is a highly experienced Talent Mobility Leader who has worked in both regional and global roles. In 2021 he joined stc with a brief to transform the Mobility function. Whilst the Mobility industry may be more established in the UAE, Saudi is very much an emerging market. As such, many Mobility concepts are unfamiliar and technical skills levels yet to be developed. 63% of Saudi's 32 million population is under 30 years old. As a company, stc is trying to meet the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030, harness the potential of a multi-generational workforce and drive employee engagement - the country is undergoing so much growth that attraction, retention and upskilling are critical. Chris has therefore prioritized the creation of developmental opportunities (- rather than position filling for executives). To do this, he has implemented the following initiatives: 1. Re-engineered the Mobility function to become engine of the ‘Internal Talent marketplace’ within stc. Supported the roll-out of SAP SuccessFactors to manage all internal / external movement with a mandate to breakdown silos and facilitate the free movement of talent across the Group. - Now, all internal positions are advertised, giving all employees the ability to apply and grow their careers. 2. Refreshed the policy suite to align with core Talent, Succession and Career Development practices. Definition and project management of key work-streams to address; Operating Model, Governance, Cost allocation, Compliance and Technology and Risk Mitigation planning. Implemented Change Management and Communications campaign to help ‘sell the value of a Mobile career within stc’ 3. Established vendor supply chain for Tax and Technology to drive automation, consistency and reduce reliance on manual processes. 4. Upskilled internal team and built close engagement with colleagues within the Centre of Excellence to ensure that Mobility is embedded as a core tool for Succession Planning and Talent Management. Examples of Innovation / Achievement: • Design & execution of an annual ‘Internal Careers Fair’ for early years employees to understand the broader business, encourage staff to take a direct involvement in their personal and professional development, drive internal Mobility and boost retention. • Roll-out of the Job Attachment Program, sending employees to IT & Telecoms market leaders to learn best practices & build an international mind-set. Manage all compliance risks associated with sending staff to non-entity locations. • Design of ‘International Hub Community’ a low cost solution to enable our foreign hires to connect via the Company intranet, share their relocation experiences and provide practical support outside of the traditional relocation channels. • Key contributor at Global Mobility Executive Forum and host of the Fragomen HR Academy @stc - the first such events for the Talent Mobility community in KSA. Chris is a highly engaging Mobility professional who gives freely of his time and expertise to help the broader Mobility community. Since 2022, he has acted as a Benivo Changemaker to support their technological development initiatives and has frequently acted as a FEM judge. This award would be excellent recognition of his industry contributions.
